Position Overview:
Provide on-call quality, accurate and relevant advice, assistance and representation on the whole spectrum of legal matters that apply to the executive and company. Counsel will be expected to make every effort to obtain speedy results and be accessible, maintaining regular and appropriate contact with executives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various commercial contracts and agreements.
• Managing and mitigating legal risks for the executive.
• Ensuring compliance with all laws and regulations that apply to the business.
• Communicating with and managing any third-party entities relationships such as with external counsel or auditors.
• Staying up-to-date with changes to Honduran legislation, particularly in relation to laws, rules and regulations that directly affect the executive and business.
• Liaising with other members of legal and executive staff.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's in Law, both Honduran and Common Law knowledge are preferred
- Driven and strong sense of initiative
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to communicate effectively both in written and spoken English
- Strong understanding of Próspera and its legal framework
- 3+ years’ “hands-on” experience with private and corporate clients
- Excellent client facing skills
- Tech-savvy, up to date with technology and AI tools
- Residing or able to relocate to Roatán
