Seeking for a highly skilled and experienced Head of Accounting to oversee all financial and accounting requirements of the Pristine Bay and Las Verandas properties. The ideal candidate will have an audit firm background and relevant experience in the hospitality sector. They will work closely with management to ensure the financial health of the organization and generate reports for shareholders.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage day-to-day accounting operations of Pristine Bay and Las Verandas properties
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
• Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
• Manage budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with business strategy
• Conduct financial analysis and provide insights and recommendations to management
• Manage relationships with external auditors, tax consultants, and other financial service providers
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management functions
• Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations
• Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness of the accounting function
• Prepare ad-hoc reports and analyses as needed
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• CPA or equivalent certification is highly preferred
• At least 5 years of experience in accounting, with a minimum of 2 years in a management role
• Prior experience in the hospitality sector is strongly preferred
• Experience working with audit firms is highly desirable
• Demonstrated ability to manage a team and work collaboratively with other departments
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Quickbooks, SAP, etc.)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Willingness to work occasional weekends and holidays as needed
