The General Accounting Clerk is responsible for assisting with both clerical and administrative tasks, including, but not limited to bookkeeping, research, reporting, as well as the resolution of discrepancies related to any of the tasks performed. Must be keenly attentive to details, thorough, possess a strong work ethic, and be professional and a great team player.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience in the area
- 2+ years of similar work experience
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented and problem-solving mindset
- Great organizational and multitasking abilities
- Willingness to learn
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports
- Advanced math proficiency
- Advanced Data entry and word processing skills
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate records of all incoming or outgoing payments
- Keep a thorough record of business transactions and enter data from daily work logs into the company’s general ledger system
- Prepare and send invoices as requested
- Run reports for management according to need
- Work in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable laws
- Data entry of documents responsible for, including checks and invoices, as well as vouchers, accounting statements, and other reports and records
- Match work orders to invoices and/ or process invoices/bills for remittance
- Research, track and resolve accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies
